Pizza Week 2026

How Rating Works

Every slice you try is a rating for the next Best Slice of NYC Pizza Week. Here's how the pizza rating works.

Here's how the pizza rating works

No app to download and no account to create. Rating happens right at the shop, by text message, in the time it takes to finish your slice.

  1. Order the Signature Slice

Visit a participating NYC Pizza Week shop and order their NYC Pizza Week Signature Slice.

  2. Scan the QR code

After you've tasted the slice, look for the NYC Pizza Week display at the shop's counter. Scan the QR code — it will have your phone text "PIZZA" to our NYC Pizza Week rating system.

  3. Enter the store code

The system will ask for the pizza shop's store code. You can find the code on the countertop sign.

  4. Submit your rating

It will then ask for a rating between 1.00 and 5.00 — 1.00 being a not-so-great slice, 5.00 being a great slice. Use decimal points if you want to be extra detailed with your rating.

  5. You're all done!

Once you submit your rating, that's it. You may submit your rating once per day, per shop — so keep crawling and keep rating.

The fine print

Ratings run from 1.00 to 5.00 — 1.00 being a not-so-great slice, 5.00 being a great slice. Decimal points are welcome if you want to be extra precise.

One rating per shop, per day — regardless of how many Signature Slices you buy there.

No limit on shops — visit as many as you want across the two weeks. Every shop is a fresh rating.

Rating runs the full event — September 20 through October 4, 2026. Ratings submitted after the window closes won't count.

The winner gets crowned — the shop with the highest-rated slice takes home the title of Best Slice of NYC Pizza Week.
